Basic Application
One of the most encouraging comments we have heard over our years of counseling together goes something like this: Only the Lord and I knew that amount of detail – how did you know. Once you understand that my wife and I are not psychologist, nor psychiatrist or even LSW it becomes clear that something supernatural happens during our conversations. These conversations happen with people from all over the world for example Africa, England, Germany, USA, Australia, Canada, and South America.
We started Prophetic Counseling twenty-eight years ago when we first married and started our Prophetic ministry of healing and deliverance. The Prophetic Counseling grew out of our willingness to use our gifts to the glory of God and people requested personal ministry. While first in Inglewood, CA and then Fort Collins, CO people would come to our home for Prophetic Counseling and deliverance. When the Lord instructed us to do our ministry virtually in 2009 that is when many people from various countries and states started to request counseling. It is imperative that the Prophetic Counseling session and results are confidential.
Many of those who come to us are seeking a way to be in God’s perfect will and to learn how to hear what the Lord says through His Word and through the prophetic. The scripture states in Amos 3:7 (KJV) 7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. My wife and I are the prophets that the Lord uses to minister in Prophetic Counseling. Hearing through the Word is usually instructional and hearing through the prophetic is confirmation. Confirmation is amazing when it is accurate and clear that you the counselee did not tell the Prophetic Counselor your specifics, but God did.
Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding. When individuals and couples desire to develop better communication, they must invest the time in themselves to see if they can come to an understanding. If they cannot come to an understanding, then they should consider using the services of Prophetic Counseling. There is much wisdom in books, the Bible, and other types of counseling, however, the Lord has given to the body of Christ and those that receive it Prophetic Counseling. The above list is only an example of the possibilities of Prophetic Counsel that my wife and I use for those we counsel. The key is if you have a challenge or a problem that you cannot solve then you should prayerfully consider scheduling time with Prophetic Counsel. Whether you engage Prophetic Counsel or your local Christian Counsel or your Pastor if you have a problem you cannot solve you need to go God and seek wise counsel. This scripture says it all: Proverbs 11:14 (KJV) 14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
Proverbs 8:14 (KJV) 14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. As this scripture clearly states the counsel is of the Lord, sound wisdom and understanding. When you have a Prophetic Counselor to minister to you in a counseling session you have the advantage of the prophetic at work. What that means is that you are relying the counselors to use their prophetic gifting to minister to you. When the Prophetic Counselor uses their gifting from the Lord to minister it means that they have fasted, studied the Word of God, and listened to the Holy Spirit to guide them with words about your situation.
The Prophetic Counselor can minister to you in the same room as you are sitting or via a communication device because the Prophetic Counselor relies on the Holy Spirit to reveal the essence of your situation. It is not necessary to physically see you or be in the same room you are sitting. The Prophetic Counseling session is recorded on a secure channel so that you do not have to take notes but rather listen intently and be engaged in the conversation.
One important last point to make about Prophetic Counseling is that it is based on the following scripture: Psalm 107:20 (KJV) 20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. What we believe from this scripture is that whatever healing and deliverance needed will be accomplish through the process of the Word of God, the Prayer of Faith and Prophetic Counseling.
