What is Prophetic Consulting?

REVISED

What is Prophetic Consulting? Can you afford not to have it? Is your company or corporation missing out on one of the many blessings the Lord has for you and your business? Have you gone to a psychic for help and guidance? Would you consider asking your enemy advice on how to run your business? These and many other questions this article will answer.

For those who understand that the maker of the universe desires to be intimately involved in everything you do and say is very refreshing. His desire to be involved in all you do or say is so that you may have an outstanding life here on this planet and help others to succeed. Throughout the Bible we find different scenarios about individuals who received Godly advise from a Prophet or Prophetess or Seer or Intuitive. The term Seer is the first term used in the Bible to describe a Prophet or Prophetess. The term intuitive is a modern term being used to describe those who are Prophets, Prophetess, seers, or psychics. Let me give you a partial list of some of the Prophets, Prophetess, seers or intuitive:

  • Ahijah, who predicted that Jeroboam would rule over ten of the tribes after Israel’s civil war 1 Kings 11:29

  • An unnamed Prophet, who predicted God would deliver the Syrians into the hands of Ahab 1 Kings 20:13-42

  • An unnamed Prophet, who predicted the name and reforms of King Josiah 215 years before he was even born 1 Kings 13:1-24

  • An unnamed Prophet, who told King Amaziah he need not depend upon some northern hired troops to help him deport the Edomites 2 Chron. 25:7-16

  • Elijah, the great Prophet who opposed Baal worship in the time of Ahab and Jezebel 1 Kings 172 Kings 2

  • Elisha, the successor to Elijah who performed many miracles and who predicted the healing of Naaman and the salvation of Samaria 2 Kings 2-13

  • Gad, who predicted the nature of judgment that would fall upon David for the king’s sin in numbering the people 1 Sam. 22:5; 2 Sam. 24:11-19

  • Iddo, who prophesied against King Jeroboam 2 Chron. 9:29

  • Micaiah, who predicted wicked king Ahab would not return alive from a battle 1 Kings 22:8-28

  • Nathan, court Prophet who took David to task for his sin of adultery and murder 2 Sam. 7, 12; 1 Kings 1

  • Oded (I), who prophesied God’s favor upon King Asa if he would honor and obey the word of the Lord 2 Chron. 15:8

  • Shemiah, who warned King Rehoboam against a war with Jeroboam 1 Kings 12:22

  • Zechariah, who ministered to King Uzziah 2 Chron. 26:5

It is noteworthy of those Prophets who are called “an unnamed Prophet” to be listed right along with the named Prophets. Many people hire a Prophet or psychic that is famous rather than give an unnamed talent an opportunity to prove their abilities. You can always sign at first a limited time element contract that would protect you if the unnamed talent were unable to deliver the goods. This being a new concept to you creates doubt in your mind about the ability of named and unnamed talent bringing to your company added value. The added value that a talent may bring to your company can be tested before you offer a long-term contract by requesting the talent to give you a sample of their work or a tape of something that has worked.

When studying the Bible, you discover that the maker of the universe used many techniques to guide His people; he used judges, Prophets, and kings. Finally, he gave them the power and wisdom to govern themselves; however, on occasion outside help is solicited and needed. There are times when outside consultant adds value that is not part of the core staff or administration. When a company has a core value of growth and development it is imperative that all possible considerations are explored.

The Board of Director’s key responsibilities is to ensure that the company has sound continuity, select, and appoint a chief executive, govern the organization by broad policies and objectives, acquire sufficient resources for the organization’s operation and account to the stockholders or public for the products and services of the organization and expenditures. The first and second line of management operates the organization’s day-to-day operations which provides for the success of all.

The challenge occurs when the organization desires to grow and it has used all the possible resources available but to no avail. That is when management looks for alternative ways to grow the company and know what is happening in the market. Challenges bring about change which is painful for some and some do not make change readily. Once the need has been identified for change the management must continue a path that will allow change to become a part of the organizations structure and growth to ensure that the organization will survive and grow. The agents for change must explore all possibilities and should include in that exploration the use of Prophetic Consulting.

Prophetic Consulting or Prophetic Consult when allowed to function should be a picture like what was seen in the Bible with Prophet Daniel, Prophet Jeremiah and Prophet Amos and others. The Prophet Amos said in Amos 3:7 (KJV) 7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the Prophets. This scripture is the touchstone scripture for every Prophet anointed by God. When God speaks, he speaks to His Prophets first before others hear and know what is happening in the earth. Even though we may not see many Prophets active in the earth and the church they are still a vital force to be dealt with.

We find in the Book of Ephesians when the Apostle Paul sends his letter to the Ephesian church that the Apostle Paul reminds us what he got from Jesus; the Apostle Paul enumerates the works of Ephesians 4:11 (KJV) 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, Prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors, and teachers; We study the Bible from this verse to the end of the Bible and never find any scripture that contradicts it. The idea is that Jesus gave the leadership structure to the church and that structure is what he will be looking for when he returns to catch the church away. I believe Jesus is expecting all five offices to be fully functional and having a strong impact on the salvation of many.

There are those who believe God did away with the Prophets when Jesus appeared on the scene, but contrary to that thought Prophets and Prophetess are being seen more and more in churches. A revival of the office of Prophet and Prophetess is taking place and those who want to be blessed by the word of the Lord coming to and through Prophets and Prophetess will earnestly consider hiring them to be a part of their business staff.

Prophets and Prophetess in the church are not to be paid as hiring hands from the Church; however, Prophets and Prophetess working as consultants to businesses and corporations should be paid a reasonable fee that is not tie to the profitability of the company. The reason you want to pay a fee to the Prophet and Prophetess rather than a commission is because you want them to use their gifts without being motivated for money.

The fee is a flat fee that pays the Prophet and Prophetess a reasonable living but does not get them into a place of poverty and/or avarice. They need to be free to seek the Lord without concern that they are not being paid not enough or too much. The true Prophet and Prophetess will seek the Lord’s council on everything and will minister to the company or corporation what truly thus said the Lord and will tell you when it is not from the Lord but our spirit.

We recommend that you prayerfully consider the Prophetic Consult or Counsel of your choice and include in the selection process JOY Christian Center (Loren and Arjeana Due) a 501.c.3 since 2001, you may reach us at email: lorendue@gmail.com or (760) 243 4876.

Are you ready to bring a Prophet and Prophetess on to give your company or corporation Godly recommendations?
