PRAYER AND PRAISE A MIGHTY ARSENAL!

REVISED

We live in perilous times as stated in 2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV) 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. The Bible predicted that perilous times would come; I believe we are there. You have heard this before but like so many believers, are you indifferent to the destruction, mayhem and murder. This callous attitude is a combination of personal experiences, societal outbreaks and breakdown in trust of God.

The first thing you will want to do, but I caution you not to – stop reading this article because your feelings are hurt by the opening paragraph. I encourage you to read to the end of the article to see how you might engage in behavior to bring awesome glory to the Kingdom of God.

We are ALL in this struggle to the end even those who have attempted to insulate themselves from the trouble because bullets do not have names on them. We must remember Psalm 91:5 (KJV) 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; I believe the arrow that flies by day is the nameless bullet and evil plots that are made against us. Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; part “A” of this verse should give us comfort to know that the weapon will form but will not prosper at what they enemy desires and that is to steal, kill or destroy us.

I believe the key strength believers must overcome “ALL” things, is the ability and responsibility to pray and praise God. Our commitment to pray and praise God should be in good times, bad times and all the time. I do not want this to sound like a lecture, but I must admit that I believe that I must be the first partaker of the fruit if I am to encourage you to do so. I am. What I am sharing is what I believe from my heart and what I know God told me to write this article about prayer and praise.

Somebody needs to know that when prayer and praise go up to God from the heart that God honors it. He is looking for true believers in this time who will submit to Him and stand in the gap for those who are in severe trials, tribulations, and great temptation to be able to come out with awesome victory. The devil and much flesh are on a mission of utter destruction and chaos to many who have committed to be called a child of the living God.

What I have learned is that I am a child of the living God 365/24/7 and there is little room to allow the devil or the flesh to get control of my life. I do not mean to say that I am a hermit or live life in a bubble, but that I am learning how to enjoy life without allowing life to interfere with my strong commitment to God. I am learning how to fulfill Galatians 5:24 (KJV) 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. This must be a personal choice to be all in or not. Each person reading this article must decide for themselves how committed they are unto the Lord.

All I know is that the closer you draw to the Lord the closer He will draw to you according to James 4:8A. I believe each one of us must desire from the heart to not only please the Lord, but also see the results of our efforts with our own eyes.

The heart of this article is for every child of the living God male or female to develop a life of earnest prayer and praise by allowing the following scriptures to come alive in each life daily. I believe this is our arsenal or weapons against the powers of darkness. We must remember Ephesians 6:11 (KJV) 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. It is a daily battle if we are practicing the God kind of holiness.

I believe you are to determine how to incorporate prayer and praise into your daily life if you are not doing it already.

King David said it this way in Psalm 55:17 (KJV) 17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

The Prophet Daniel practice prayer in Daniel 6:10 (KJV) 10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

King David praised God this way as stated in Psalm 119:164 (KJV) 164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Jesus spoke this as recorded by the physician Luke in Luke 18:1 (KJV) 1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

I know that if we as children of the most high God are to really be spiritually successful, we are going to now start praying and praising God like never before to fulfill the command stated by Luke that Jesus said, “men ought always to pray and not to faint!” Prayer and Praise is a continuous process that we learn to do verbally, non-verbally or tacitly to the Father. Those that have the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues might consider spending time each day praying according Jude 1:20 (KJV) 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

The key for each one of us is to determine how committed we are to fully dedicating ourselves to be all in for Jesus 365/24/7. Each one will have to commit according to Acts 2:40B (KJV)…. Save yourselves from this untoward generation. I know that in some denominations people are busy doing church and too busy to be a witness. Just imagine being like the four and twenty elders in Revelation 19:4 (KJV) 4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

Are you ready to pray without ceasing and praise Him?
